Our Wheels and Castors are REACH Compliant

What is REACH?
REACH is a European regulation governed by the ECHA European Chemical Agency, designed to protect people and the environment from potentially harmful chemicals used in products and manufacturing. It places requirements on us as manufacturers to understand and control the substances we use in our products. To ensure harmful chemicals particularly those with carcinogens and those classed as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), this can be to people and/or the environment, are minimised in manufacturing processes
What does this mean for our products?
Many products within our industry have historically used SHVC including industrial paints, chrome and zinc plating, rubber and plastic. Many of these base products are frequently used in the manufacture of products within our industry. The aim is to apply pressure at the start of the supply chain, ensuring that as products move through manufacturing and supply, they comply with the maximum permitted content limits and that traceability is maintained.
Over the past five years we have worked hard with our supply base to help our upstream supply chain reach a stage where we can be proud that our REACH compliant components, wheels, castors and coatings meet the relevant requirements for SVHC covered by the regulation. This gives you, our customers, greater confidence when specifying and using our products across a wide range of applications.
