This problem can always be exacerbated when you buy a trolley with a 300mm shelf spacing and your supplier changes a box size to 320mm, making your trolley fleet redundant. So, having shelves that can be adjusted quickly, or a fixed shelving system that can be readjusted when these things happen, can save you a large bill later in life to either modify your existing trolleys or have to buy new ones. We term this “future-proofing” and it's always a good idea to consider this future-proofing wherever you can, but it's difficult.
